These shelves are exactly what I needed for a tiny little closet next to our stairs. It isn’t practical for coats and such so we use it as a game and extra blanket closet. I almost didn’t purchase it based on the reviews, but after getting them up AND items organized on them by myself in under 20 minutes, it’s safe to say any issues are lack of patience or user error. You do need some finesse in getting them to adjust while also applying pressure for tension. If you struggle doing it alone, a second set of hands is all you need - one to apply the pressure and the other to secure the knobs in place. I’m impatient and didn’t wait to wait for my husband to get home from work, so used my shoulders and such for extra support. Once you get them secure, they don’t budge!
