Just moved our Studio and after the daunting task of packing and labelling all our materials I was spending many a sleepless night mulling over how we could quickly set up storage in the new Studio. I wanted something that was easily accessible, adjustable and could be tailored to our needs as we unpacked. I’m so thankful that we chose a twin slot shelving system as it’s easy to over or underestimate heights of paint pots, aerosols, tools and all the flotsam and jetsam that us Designers and Artists simply have to have. We already had the uprights but needed 270mm brackets for our shelves. The size of these brackets are perfect for a store room as any deeper makes it difficult to see what you have at a glance. We had some 1000mm uprights but cut some of them in half to build the top shelves as a full 1M would have gone to waste and the space left is perfect for a pegboard to hold masking tape. The initial outlay for the whole setup will certainly pay its way over time and now I can get a good nights sleep.
