1. The Yaheetech Garage Storage Shelves arrived when expected and were very well boxed up. 2. Took me around 45 mins to put up and that was with a coffee break too. 3. I found no fault with any of the parts and nothing missing. 4. Nice and sturdy after I put heavy tools and 2 x10L paint tubs on the bottom shelf. I'm presently clearing space for another set I'll purchase in the week. These shelves deserve more than 5 stars.

I ordered this slimline shelving kit (2 bay) for a tight space in my garage. It was dispatched promptly but I received a text message from DPD, the courier, telling me that they were unable to deliver because I was not in. This was not true and probably just a case of the driver not being bothered to ring my doorbell. However, I received the shelving kit this shelving kit this morning and have now completed both bays (as you can see from the photo). I have purchased 4 other "slot together" shelving kits over the years but none of them come close to the quality and value for money of this one. The instruction manual is clear and concise and is easy to understand. Whilst it says that the build time is about 1 hour the first bay took me 1 and a half hours but once this was completed the second unit did only take an hour. The quality of the steel is top class and once you get over the initial fiddly part of constructing the first tier the rest is easy. You may need to do a few minor tweaks like adjusting some of the steel tabs to fit into the appropriate slots as you go but it is a quick and easy job to do. Once the parts are all assembled it makes for a very sturdy platform and the MDF shelves are thick and strong and I would expect them not to bow as there is a centre strut which helps support whatever you place on the shelf. There are a few little extras included in the kit which I thought were a nice touch and something I never had in any previous kits I've bought. In particular, the gripper gloves, a wall fixing kit with screws and rawlplugs, some special brackets which can be used to tie in both units together an extra set of plastic feet to press onto the top of each upright corner so that you don't injure yourself or snag any items when placing them on or lifting them off the top shelf. All in all a well made, sturdy kit with excellent build instructions and some nice extras that work well and make a big difference to the finished unit(s). I decided to go with the basic "steel" finish rather than the black finish partly because I wasn't that bothered about a colour and also because the basic "steel" was also £10 cheaper which I think is a bargain. If I ever need more shelving units like these I will definitely be buying from the same manufacturer/brand/seller. I would definitely recommend!!

Ordered for storage as we are in middle of renovating cottage. Used in spare bedroom they are very sturdy and look good. Easy to assemble with a little help with a mallet. Will go into garage when finished.

They feel a little flimsier than we expected for the weight they can hold, but they seem to be holding up well and the assembly was quick and easy. They're slimline enough for the space and have allowed us to have a really good sort out.

Like many cheap things, they aren't great, but they seem sturdy enough. The gloves are a nice touch as I did the second one without and caught my skin a couple of times. They look cheap, so maybe ideal for a spare room or cupboard.

I have brought a number of these types of shelves in the past but particular this one is head and shoulders above the rest. To list off just a few of the positives 1. The MDF for the shelf base was thicker and studier than other competitors 2. The metal was thicker and more study than other competitors 3. The metal was well machined, each piece slotted together with ease, not a single bent connector and I hardly had to use my mallet 4. It came with the side connectors as well as raw plugs and screws if you want to attach it to the wall (many dont come with these) 5. It came with work gloves to prevent cuts or scratches during assembly (first time I have seen that) For the price this really cant be beaten and it arrived on-time and well packaged. The only tiny negative I can even think of is that because it is more study than its competitors it is pretty heavy

So easy to put together, strong, sturdy & look good too. Even get a pair of protective gloves & some spare protective corner pieces for top & bottom. Totally adjustable to suit your needs as each shelf can be put at a level you need it. Obviously using common sense heavy items on the bottom & lighter goods at the top. They've been a god send for storing my sewing machines & bedding for my car plus lots of other bits too. Would certainly buy again if need any more.

Good points: It's pretty sturdy once it's all put together and the size is great, plenty of space to store what I needed. The MDF shelves although not very think (about 2mm) are strong enough to hold a good amount of weight Bad points: Parts came bent out the box, so I had to use a pair of pliers to put them right. Assembly is marketed as "easy" however in that's far from the case, the tabs that fit into one another have so little clearance that you need a hell of a lot of force to get them in, and when you do get them in sometimes they'll pop out the back end rather then threading through all the way. This isn't helped by the somewhat thick coating of paint that's on the metal, meaning the fit is even tighter and the paint eventually scrapes away as it goes into the groove. I had to increase the side of the holes by placing a flat head screwdriver into the gab and prying it open so that there was enough space to get the tabs to go in. Tools needed: - Realistically you'll want a hammer or a rubber mallet - Flathead screwdriver, the tinner the better
